Having a brilliant time here in Japan - as you`ve probably gathered by my lack of posts. I was going to do the travel diary online but have reverted back to the old way of doing a diary (pen and paper) as it just feels so much nicer and can do it whereever rather than depend on getting onto the hostel/ryokan computer!!

Highlights so far?? All of it. Ill have to get some photos up on Flickr,

Nagoya
Takayama - cute fold village with the oddest little teddy mascot thing
Okinawa - Naha (built up) and Zamima (literal paradise, beaches, rolling hills, rugged scenery, and me on a mountainbike - bliss!)
Kyoto - japanese touristy madness but Geisha`s and teahouse galore
Nagoya again, nice meal out with my friend!
Kanazawa - cold and scenic, a city of culture (apparently) - amazing handicrafts like laquer making, gold leaf and ohi pottery. Am going to try some of it out tomorrow.

Am having a ball - haven`t met that many other travellors yet - but also haven`t minded yet, getting some much needed me time in and just exploring this part of the world - then going back to see my friend and jabber and go out with her now and again!! Which has also been fun.
