What a lovely weekend,, in brief…
Boat ride with Team Australia in the morning where I met some new very nice friends, including a lady called Sarah Hill who has been here for years and is lovely and English.
Went and sat in Vondelpark and ate picnic with them, then was joined by Nicolas and Erik. It was actually cool to see them. Erik gave me some paracetemol which was really nice on the way coz had a splitting headache by the time we got there.
Nico gave his new friend Natalie a lift on his bike to the Westerpark where, by the time I’d got there most people had left (including some guy who I thought was quite cute and had a bit of banter with him).
Was home at a decent hour. After Natalie decided to pour out all her feelings to me for an hour or so at the end about this guy she met, and her ex-boyfriend who she met at University and thought she’d end up with (not sure why they broke up, but she’s the one who ended it) and this other guy is a professional surfer with a brain. She’s not letting him into her heart apparently.
Sunday went to Nieuwe-meer with Signe, Hayley, Micala, Dougie and Signe’s squuze, frenchie (can’t remember his name). Lovely day of sitting by the lake, swimming in the lake – yes I even got in twice!! And then a quick biertje and sit on a Ferry back to Den Bos and cycle home. Was such a lovely day and nice to get outside of Amsterdam for the day. Really enjoyed it. Was back at about 8pm, chilled and watched episode of my fave new programme, DIRT. Was supposed to clean but didn’t get much cleaning done.
All in all was an amazing weekend of lovliness and sunshine and new friends, and was really not looking forward to getting back into work this morning (but actually had a better day than expected!).
Not done any more writing yet, oops. The weather just is not conducive
